How to apply: start, prepare, submit and follow up
Amount or support
Repayable financing; ask about current rate, collateral, equity and lifetime borrowing limit.
Start here: Contact an EDLF Certified Entity, such as your local SBDC, then a Business Oregon Business Finance Officer. Use the program page's Program Information and Application link to prepare the loan request with your counselor.
1. Is this for me?
Must meet a published revenue, employee-count or disability-ownership criterion; repayment capacity, collateral, equity and certified counseling also apply.
Service area: Oregon; confirm program-specific location and institution requirements.
2. What should I prepare?
Some documents may be conditional. Ask about alternatives. Checkmarks are temporary and are not saved or sent.
3. Where and how do I submit?
Submit the completed application, attachments, signatures and reviewed business plan to your SBDC or other Certified Entity counselor as directed on the current program page. Coordinate the final Business Oregon submission with the counselor and Business Finance Officer; the linked application also describes submission to Business Oregon.
- First contact an SBDC or another EDLF Certified Entity for counseling.
- Discuss eligibility and the project with a Business Finance Officer.
- Prepare the application and business plan with your counselor.
- Submit the package through the SBDC or Certified Entity as directed.
Timing: No fixed deadline stated in reviewed guidance; ask the provider about current intake and funds.
4. What will it cost?
No application fee or fee for working with an SBDC or Certified Entity; third-party fees may apply. This is a loan that must be repaid with interest. Obtain the written repayment and collateral terms before accepting it.
5. What happens after I submit?
Work with your counselor on any missing attachments or business-plan changes. Discuss collateral, owner equity and repayment capacity with the Business Finance Officer. Continue using counseling as the application instructs.
6. What if something goes wrong?
If the counselor and application give different submission instructions, resolve the destination with the Business Finance Officer before sending financial records. Ask that officer about incomplete materials or eligibility concerns; the reviewed sources do not establish a denial appeal procedure.
