Start here: Apply for cash benefits through ONE at https://one.oregon.gov, call 800-699-9075, or visit a local ODHS office.
1. Is this for me?
Oregon households with little income and limited resources; applicant must be pregnant, a parent/caregiver of a child 18 or younger, or a qualifying minor household head.
Service area: Oregon; confirm program-specific location and institution requirements.
2. What should I prepare?
Some documents may be conditional. Ask about alternatives. Checkmarks are temporary and are not saved or sent.
3. Where and how do I submit?
Send the TANF application to ODHS through ONE, by telephone at 800-699-9075, or at an ODHS benefits office. Supply any requested verification through ONE or the office handling your case.

- Complete the interview ODHS schedules by phone or in person.
- Provide requested household and financial information.
- If approved, follow your EBT, JOBS participation and renewal notices.
Timing: Applications can be requested year-round; follow the deadline on any agency notice.
4. What will it cost?

A program-specific cost explanation has not been verified. Ask the provider whether this route has any fees, required contribution or repayment terms, and what cost assistance is available.
5. What happens after I submit?
Attend the phone or in-person interview. Read the decision and any requests in ONE. If approved, expect an EBT card by mail and ask about your JOBS participation requirements. Renew by the notice's due date and report changes as required.
6. What if something goes wrong?
Ask ODHS to correct inaccurate case information. To challenge a TANF decision, complete Administrative Hearing Request form MSC 0443 and return it to an ODHS or OHA office by the deadline in your notice. ODHS staff can help you complete it. Speaking with a manager does not extend the hearing deadline.

Ask 800-699-9075 or your local office for language or disability access assistance. Call 833-978-1073 for ONE account problems. The Public Benefits Hotline, 800-520-5292, can provide advice and possible representation.
Benefits depend on family circumstances. ODHS flags potential public-charge consequences for some immigrants; qualified legal advice is available through Oregon Legal Aid.
